I can testify about them that they have zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. Because they disregarded the righteousness from God and attempted to establish their own righteousness, they have not submitted to God's righteousness. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. For Moses writes about the righteousness that is from the law: The one who does these things will live by them. But the righteousness that comes from faith speaks like this: Do not say in your heart, "Who will go up to heaven?" that is, to bring Christ down or, "Who will go down into the abyss?" that is, to bring Christ up from the dead. On the contrary, what does it say? The message is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. This is the message of faith that we proclaim: if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. With the heart one believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses, resulting in salvation. Now the Scripture says, No one who believes on Him will be put to shame, for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, since the same Lord of all is rich to all who call on Him."

Written by Paul, who was a Pharisee, a man blinded by the Truth, a man who encountered Jesus and came to know Jesus as the MessiahAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7504218938204574259.post-36154145381441666832011-10-07T10:55:52.471-07:002011-10-07T10:55:52.471-07:00Some believers in Jesus Christ question whether to...Some believers in Jesus Christ question whether to fast since they are already forgiven in Messiah. Followers of Jesus do not fast to obtain forgiveness, yet are blessed with the benefits for fasting.

Yeshua spoke of the blessings of a fast. Although the question of salvation is already settled by faith in Yeshua, believers are still in constant need of returning to a pure walk with the Father. We have sins to confess and repent of (I John 1:7-9). Fasting can sensitize our spirits to the heart of God. Jews and Gentiles fast on Yom Kippur as it is the one day of the religious year on which Jews around the world are packed into synagogues and praying! Many believers have found it to be a special day to pray for the salvation of Israel (Romans 10:1). The evening of Yom Kippur is a wonderful time to worship God the Father, His Son, through the Holy Spirit. Attend a formal Yom Kippur service and be transported by His presence and grace through the music, liturgy and message all celebrate the true meaning of the day: atonement in Yeshua the Messiah!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7504218938204574259.post-91682620081642066132011-10-07T10:51:22.224-07:002011-10-07T10:51:22.224-07:00Blessed be the Lord God, who has secured our salva...Blessed be the Lord God, who has secured our salvation in Yeshua the Messiah! Do we fast and confess our sins like the rest of the Jewish community or do we rejoice in the knowledge that we're forgiven in Messiah? Many Jewish believers view Yom Kippur as a time for identification with our Jewish people, introspection for ourselves and intercession for loved ones, knowing all the while that Jesus is the One that makes us at one with God. We observe Yom Kippur as a part of worshiping Jesus called Y'shua or Yeshua:

"Synagogue is hardly the scene to begin a story about believing in Jesus, but it was there my questions started...From that point on, the entire Bible opened up. God's own Word described the One who would come, die, bear the sins of humanity, and be rejected. I knew that I had found the answer to my prayers in Jesus. I had met the God of Israel. It was through this Yom Kippur prayer that I came to see myself before God. There is no explaining away of sin. But there is a sin-bearer and "…that through Him forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, and through Him everyone who believes is freed from all things, from which you could not be freed through the Law of Moses." Chapters 8 to 10 of Hebrews argue that it pointed forward to Christ's work as priest. On the one hand, "only the high priest entered the inner room, and that only once a year, and never without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance," (Hebrews 9:7). Christ, however, "went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not man-made, that is to say, not a part of this creation. He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption," (Hebrews 9:11-12). Christ's redemptive work is the fulfilment of the sacrificial ritual of the day of atonement.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7504218938204574259.post-84610460541820579512011-10-07T10:37:51.872-07:002011-10-07T10:37:51.872-07:00TRACE the SEED - TRUST GOD's WORD, His promise...TRACE the SEED - TRUST GOD's WORD, His promise that "When your time comes and you rest with your fathers, I will raise up after you your descendant, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. He will build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. I will be a father to him, and he will be a Son to Me. When he does wrong, I will discipline him with a human rod and with blows from others. But My faithful love will never leave him as I removed it from Saul; I removed him from your way. 16 Your house and kingdom will endure before Me forever, and your throne will be established forever. ' " Nathan spoke all these words and this entire vision to David.

David's Prayer of Thanksgiving: "Then King David went in, sat in the LORD's presence, and said, "Who am I, Lord GOD , and what is my house that You have brought me this far? What You have done so far was a little thing to You, Lord GOD , for You have also spoken about Your servant's house in the distant future. And this is a revelation for mankind, Lord GOD . 20 What more can David say to You? You know Your servant, Lord GOD . Because of Your word and according to Your will, You have revealed all these great things to Your servant.
"This is why You are great, Lord GOD . There is no one like You, and there is no God besides You, as all we have heard confirms. And who is like Your people Israel? God came to one nation on earth in order to redeem a people for Himself, to make a name for Himself, and to perform for them great and awesome acts, driving out nations and their gods before Your people You redeemed for Yourself from Egypt. You established Your people Israel Your own people forever, and You, LORD, have become their God.
"Now, LORD God, fulfill the promise forever that You have made to Your servant and his house. Do as You have promised, so that Your name will be exalted forever, when it is said, 'The LORD of Hosts is God over Israel.' The house of Your servant David will be established before You since You, LORD of Hosts, God of Israel, have revealed this to Your servant when You said, 'I will build a house for you.' Therefore, Your servant has found the courage to pray this prayer to You. Lord GOD , You are God; Your words are true, and You have promised this grace to Your servant. Now, please bless Your servant's house so that it will continue before You forever. For You, Lord GOD , have spoken, and with Your blessing Your servant's house will be blessed forever."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
