PRAY FOR THE PEOPLE IN ISRAEL. What now is known as Libya was, during Biblical times, Cyrenaica, a Greek colony which suffered two earthquakes and was in ruins by the fourth century. The ancient Greeks founded the settlement of Cyrene on Libya's eastern Mediterranean coast that eventually evolved into the Roman province of Cyrenaica. It is next to EGYPT, then the RED SEA, then ISRAEL.
In Matthew 27: We learn that it was a Libyan man — Simon of Cyrene who carried the cross for our Lord Jesus.
In Acts chapter 2: we learn that God-fearing men from Libya were present in Jerusalem on the Day of Pentecost
and heard the Apostle Peter preach the gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit. Some 3,000 people that day repented of their sins and became fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. It is likely that Libyans were among them since they are mentioned in the text.
In Acts 11: we learn that Libyan (Cyrene) followers of Jesus Christ helped bring the gospel to Antioch, Syria, and made disciples for Jesus there.
In Acts 13: we learn that a Libyan man —
Lucius of Cyrene — becomes one of the leaders of the church at Antioch, helping send out Barnabus and Paul to take the gospel to Asia and Europe. Bible prophecy also tells us the government and many of the people of Libya will be engaged in great evil in the End of Days.
In Ezekiel 38-39: we learn that Libya is one of the nations that joins the Russian-Iranian alliance against Israel in “the last days.” In this prophecy, Ezekiel uses the name “Put.” The first century historian Flavius Josephus wrote in his famous book, The Antiquities of the Jews, that “Put” or “Phut” is “ancient Libya.” APRIL 25, 2011 EASTER MONDAY another evil slaughter hits the news. Let Obama come and take Syria. Let Israel come and take Syria. Let the Jews come," shouted one Daraa resident. "Anything is better than Bashar Assad," he said, playing on Syria's hatred for Israel. The military raids on the southern city of Daraa and at least two other areas suggested Syria is trying to impose military control on the centers of protests against President whose family has ruled Syria for four decades. The offensive was meticulously planned: Electricity, water and mobile phone services were cut. Security agents armed with guns and knives conducted house-to-house sweeps, neighborhoods were sectioned off and checkpoints were erected before the sun rose. "They have snipers firing on everybody who is moving."

Ancient Libya, we know, certainly included the territory of the modern nation state we refer to today as Libya, but also included Algeria and possibly Tunisia. This tells us the no matter what the near term outcomes of the revolutions underway in North Africa are, in the not-too-distant future Libya for certain and possibly her neighbors will have virulently anti-Semitic and anti-Israel leadership who will eagerly join a coalition bent on destroying the Jews and occupy the land of Israel.
Gaddafi, of course, is already such a leader. In 1979, he relinquished the title of prime minister, and was thereafter called "The Brother Leader" or "The Guide" in Libya's Socialist Revolution. Gaddafi was a firm supporter of OAPEC and led a Pan-African campaign for a United States of Africa. After the 1986 Bombing of Libya and the 1993 imposition of United Nations sanctions, Gaddafi established closer economic and security relations with the west, cooperated with investigations into previous Libyan acts of state-sponsored terrorism and paid compensation, and ended his nuclear weapons program, resulting in the lifting of UN sanctions in 2003. With an area of almost 700,000 square miles, Libya is the fourth largest country in Africa by area, and the 17th largest in the world. The capital, Tripoli, is home to 1.7 million of Libya's 6.4 million people.
In 2009 Hillary Clinton met with leaders of LIBYA. Then early in February 2011, major political protests, inspired by recent pro-democracy events in Tunisia, Egypt which borders LYBIA and other parts of the Arab world, broke out in Libya against Gaddafi's government and quickly turned into a CALL for the USA to enter WAR against the attacks from ISRAEL. Gaddafi vowed to "die a martyr" if necessary in his fight against the rebels and external forces. Perhaps he will ride out this storm and stay in power. Perhaps someone worse will rise up after him. Hopefully Gaddafi will be deposed and a more moderate leadership will rise up for a season before the prophecy of the “War of Gog and Magog” comes to fulfillment. Either way,
the Church should be using this window of time to do everything possible to get the gospel into the hearts of the lost in the USA, MEXICO, JAPAN, CHINA, AFRICA, and LIBYA. Believers worldwide are called to UNIFY in Christ, to be led by the Holy Spirit ~
"May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that You sent Me and have loved them even as You have loved Me." John 17:23 REVELATION tells us what to expect in order to prepare for God’s judgment for attacking Israel.

March 2011 BIBLE REVELATION The Brits seek to authenticate a trove of 70 lead codices that appear to date from the 1st century which are believed to include key clues to the last days of Jesus' life. These codices were found in 2006 in a remote cave in Eastern Jordan, a regrion where early Christian believers fled after the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 CE. Since the Dead Sea scrolls were found in 1947 this discovery has the scientific world buzzing. (Ronny and Hennie in Egypt)
The codices are made up of wirebound individual pages, each roughly the size of a credit card. They contain a number of images and textual allusions to the Messiah, as well as some possible references to the crucifixion and resurrection. Some of the codices were sealed, prompting yet more breathless speculation that they could include the sealed book, shown only to the Messiah, mentioned in the Book of Revelation. One of the few sentences translated thus far from the texts reads, "I shall walk uprightly"--a phrase that also appears in Revelation. Contextually it could here be designed to refer to the resurrection. In March 2011 a church in England displayed an old copy of the Holy Bible printed in 1611 ~
Only 200 copies of this edition were printed 400 years ago. "For God so loved the world that He sent His only Son ~ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." God's LOVE is tangible, and believers can feel His presence while walking, talking, or sitting stilled. The love of God is that which enables us to love ourselves and one another. His love is like the Rose of Sharon, it is truly magical and mysterious because the deaf can hear Him ~ He is the song in the heart of the invalid that enables them to feel as if they have risen to dance with Jesus. His love is the Sonrise that the blind can see. His love is visible in all that is beautiful. Praise God for ears to hear, for eyes to see, and for lips to praise Him. HALLELUIAH and AMEN!
