WHO is in your BOUQUET?

Let us stop sometime this month and gather up a bouquet of friends for the purpose of pure enjoyment! Why not add a Posie to that Rosie? Why not surround that Daffydill with a Marygold? Our Father used His mighty brilliance when He caused a tiny seed to bloom so vibrantly! Consider the radiance, the elegance, the absoul-ute extravagance of God's finest creations right here in the Central Valley! What a collection of lovely, what a stunning array we find in our own backyards. When we take the time to surround our petals with a variety of colorful girlfriends, we become a breath taking, head turning, question provoking garden BOUQUET! Who is in your bouquet? Pick any flower that dangles down the right side of this blog. Click it and be dazzled by the unique personality within its bloom! Discover a bevy of souls who thrive as brides of Christ ready to hug, poke, joke, and laugh! Some grew out of rocky soil, some grew threw cracks of cement, and some bloomed in a downpour of rain! Our JOY keeps us Sweet,
Trials keep us Strong,
Sorrows keep us Human,
Failures keep us Humble,
Success keeps us Glowing,
But ... only friends ...
Keep us Blooming!!!
You are a Sparkle Peep to someone
and I hope to be blessed by your laughter. HO HO HO!
Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. Any prayer requests will be royally respected and brought to our King! KEEP the VISION of ALIVE and THRIVE as you live in full bloom! Each breathe allows us to fill our lungs with the oxygen that He created to give us words to speak, and voices to sing. You are His unique creation and I am blessed to have you in my bouquet. We are God's rare and beloved peeps of faith, each born with a purpose and given the gifts to fulfill His will. Lord Jesus I pray that You touch the soul of all who click into Sparkle Peeps, that You cause a burning yearning to know more of You. I ask YOU Lord Jesus to cause each weary heart to be refreshed with a personal REVIVAL of the Holy Spirit. May the Holy Spirit give us depth so we can be His breath. Thank You Lord for Anne Graham Lotz who was obedient to You when she wrote "Pursing More of Jesus". Thank You for the hearts you have given us, and for the love you deposited in us! According to Your will Lord, may the Light within each Sparkle Peep implode and become an attractive flame that draws thousands. I thank You Lord for the joy and peace we all ENJOY as a result of Your purpose and pleasure to watch us grow! I pray that my life will bring You honor and glory! AMEN

  1. Wow! Barb you are a wonderfully generous, talented, woman of the Lord. I am honored to be your friend and "sparkle sista." I love this blog! I am lookiing forward to reading about the women in this blog, and perhaps as your vision has it, meeting all of them including Anne Graham Lotz and Beth Moore along with 10,000 other Sparkle Sista's from across the USA - at the Stockton Event Center! We are blessed to have so many wonderful friends, but then, we often attract people who compliment our beliefs~ OK, I gotta go get ready for church and then off to lunch with partner in the practice. Have a jolly good day!!

    Hi Barbara – Thank you for finding me today. It was great to hear your heart and what you’d like to do with this group. After you read the document that describes the purpose for Growth Groups and after attending Synergy on March 6, you may have more questions. Feel free to contact me anytime. You may also find the leader blog useful (www.fuelinglife.org) and the FAQs posted there (http://fuelinglife.org/faqs/)

    In April you will be able to sign up to be a Growth Group leader. If you have not done so already, please plan on attending our Connexions Focus on Five class on March 14, 21 and 28th. Crossroads require that all leaders go through the class. Blessings!

  6. Dear Barbara, always remember that this is the day that the Lord hath made, and my vision of you is that you are rejoicing and you are glad in it!

    One day at a time, with its failures and fears, With its hurts and mistakes, with its weakness and tears, With its portion of pain and its burden of care;

    One day at a time we must meet and must bear. One day at a time to be patient and strong; To be calm under trial and sweet under wrong;

    Then its toiling shall pass and its sorrow shall cease; It shall darken and die, and the night shall bring peace.

    One day at a time--but the day is so long, And the heart is not brave, and the soul is not strong, O Thou pitying Christ, be Thou near all the way; Give courage and patience and strength for the day.

    Swift cometh His answer, so clear and so sweet; "Yea, I will be with thee, thy troubles to meet; I will not forget thee, nor fail thee, nor grieve; I will not forsake thee; I never will leave."

    Not yesterday's load we are called on to bear, Nor the morrow's uncertain and shadowy care, Why should we look forward or back with dismay? Our needs, as our mercies, are but for the day.

    One day at a time, and the day is His day; He hath numbered its hours, though they haste or delay. His grace is sufficient; we walk not alone; As the day, so the strength that He giveth His own.

    Yes it was a lovely day in the Central Valley! My my ~ You have now grabbed my attention for the 2nd time! I respond after work with a wide smile because I have never been called into the Dean's office without a particular task. You see my boss at the Police Department, in Stockton, Neighborhood Services Section ~ his name is Richard Dean ~ and no they would not want me to pack a pistol :)

    HAZAAH and Well Done to you Gary for your accomplishments and interesting and insightful publications! Particularly your doctoral dissertation "For the joy set before them"....Appreciating your critical thinking, the only credential I can say that I have is that the Lord Jesus hold is the Author and Perfector of my soul, and I am His. He has given me a magnificient obsession ~ to hear His voice and know Him more....I delight in writing about our relationship, and I today at lunch I blogged a bit around Thomas Merton....then I discover an email from you....a good day indeed!

    The photo's of the water - yes they were taken in Mexico. For the past six years, my brother and his wife have blossomed while living in Loreto, Mx. The boat is his ~ my yacht is a kayak...he loves the ocean and has wonderful stories to share. The ocean is fantastic, however, I am more drawn to lakes, mountains and trees. Therefore, as my Lord went before me...on Christmas day 2009, I was enabled to purchase a home in Lake Chapala. My plan is to follow His plan...and when I retire in 2014 ~ it is my compulsion to lead a particular study group in rural Mexico.
