EMPLOYMENT OP

In a local newspaper a WANT AD was recruiting for a position that offers excellent benefits. You can enjoy GUARANTEED LIFE TIME employment with this faithful and honest Employer who offers equal opportunity for all who apply. God Almighty is calling on all willing Kingdom workers to APPLY at any local church. The only hiring requirement is a humble spirit. Unlimited positions exist for anyone who is willing to surrender all they possess in mind, body and soul. This radical Employer asks us to live a life that matters! "No one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for Me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age, and in the age to come, eternal life." (Mark 10:29) With Jesus as our Teacher and Employer, we are assured that those who are regarded as rulers, and those who exercise authority and lord it over people, "that whoever wants to be first must be slave to all." Read the story of Mary and Martha and how it was the culture of the day for women to be seen not heard as they served men. With great humility and silence in front of 120 male guests, Martha entered to simply serve. She was overcome with love for her Lord, she poured perfumed oil on the head of Jesus and knelt down and poured oil over His feet. She exposed her crown of glory as she untied her hair to wipe the feet of Jesus. Her unspoken act of love caused a stir among the men as Martha glorified Jesus as Lord. She was humiliated by Judas for her child like, uninhibited humble devotion. Jesus said "Whoever wants to become great among you must become your servant, and whoever want to be first must be slave to all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for man." (Mark 10:43) To be wise is to become close to the kingdom of God. Jesus said " HEAR, the Lord our God, the Lord is One." Get focused on whom you seek to glorify by your acts of service. "You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but Him. To love Him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important that all other burnt offerings and sacrifices. When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, He said to him, 'You are not far from the kingdom of God." (Mark 11:29-34) If we are educated or uneducated, skilled or unskilled, we are wise in the eyes of Jesus when we love God with all our heart, mind, strength and our understanding. There is ongoing and unlimited training via the Holy Spirit for all who seek to be employed. God equips His elect with specific talents. The profile of a servant is detailed by God in His training manual. Read Genesis 24:3-66 and Ephesians 4:11-16.

  1. "Let them give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love, and His wonderful deeds for men, for He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things." Psalm 107:6 Oh Lord give us a thirst for truth, increase our hunger for Your wonderous Word and call us to glorify YOU with all that YOU have given us. AMEN
